TOPIC: LOOSE HIM, AND LET HIM GO
This is a comprehensive command covering the realms of the supernatural and the natural.
Loose them and let the gospel have its free course in their life . No more excuses for not being involved in ministry.
John 11:41-44(KJV)41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead yet he was still bound .
This command applies to everybody in bondage, both believers and unbelievers.
Are you surprised that Lazarus was made alive yet remained bound ? Likewise, many of us have been made alive but are still bound by various spots and skirmishes.
You may have a besetting sin, or demons might still be holding an aspect of you. The word of God says ‘Loose him and let him go.’
Ps 102:19-20(KJV)19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
Mark 7:34-35(NKJV)34 Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35 Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.
Fasting to be loosed from slavery and every form of incapacitation – Isa 58:6(KJV)6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Look at the action of the Holy Ghost on Paul and Silas in prison. Their chains and bonds were loosed and every foundation of the prison was shaken..
Acts 16:25-26(KJV)25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
We must find freedom in loosing. Until you are loosed, everything in your life is incapacitated and limited.
Luke 13:10-13(KJV)10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Jesus’ command was always the same ‘Loose him/her and let him\her go’
John 8:36(KJV)36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Whatever binds you is a force and it is a stronghold, and that is what ministry is all about :destroying every stronghold of the enemy.
When you talk about besetting sins that take over your life, even when you hate them – such as anger, malice, unforgiveness and every manner of evil habit – they all are stronghold that must be destroyed.
No matter how hard you try, you might still find the devil messing around you. Use this weapon that is not carnal.
2 Cor 10:4-6(TLB)4 I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. 5 These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. 6 I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ.
You have done everything to gain your freedom but you could not, just like the madman at Gerasene.
Luke 8:26-37(TLB)26 So they arrived at the other side, in the Gerasene country across the lake from Galilee. 27 As he was climbing out of the boat a man from the city of Gadara came to meet him, a man who had been demon-possessed for a long time. Homeless and naked, he lived in a cemetery among the tombs. 28 As soon as he saw Jesus he shrieked and fell to the ground before him, screaming, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of God Most High? Please, I beg you, oh, don’t torment me!” 29 For Jesus was already commanding the demon to leave him. This demon had often taken control of the man so that even when shackled with chains he simply broke them and rushed out into the desert, completely under the demon’s power. 30 “What is your name?” Jesus asked the demon. “Legion,” they replied-for the man was filled with thousands of them! 31 They kept begging Jesus not to order them into the Bottomless Pit. 32 A herd of pigs was feeding on the mountainside nearby, and the demons pled with him to let them enter into the pigs. And Jesus said they could. 33 So they left the man and went into the pigs, and immediately the whole herd rushed down the mountainside and fell over a cliff into the lake below, where they drowned. 34 The herdsmen rushed away to the nearby city, spreading the news as they ran. 35 Soon a crowd came out to see for themselves what had happened and saw the man who had been demon-possessed sitting quietly at Jesus’ feet, clothed and sane! And the whole crowd was badly frightened. 36 Then those who had seen it happen told how the demon-possessed man had been healed. 37 And everyone begged Jesus to go away and leave them alone (for a deep wave of fear had swept over them). So he returned to the boat and left, crossing back to the other side of the lake.
The power of the anointed Messiah is about loosing and binding.
This is the key Jesus gave to the church.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is incomplete without loosing and binding
Matt 16:18-19(KJV)18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
This has prevented many people growing. They feel bound by some elemental spirits and cosmic powers.
BENEFITS OF THAT WHICH IS LOOSED
Freedom
Gal 5:1(NLT)5 So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
Gal 5:13-14(NLT)13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
Rom 6:22-23(NLT)22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.
Holy boldness – Acts 4:13(KJV)13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Power to express yourself physically and supernaturally.
The scripture says she felt in her body freedom – Mark 5:29-34(NLT)29 Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.30 Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?” 31 His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?'”32 But he kept on looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and told him what she had done. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Don’t be afraid of the devil . Get into the dungeon and set the captain free. Luke 4:18-19(kJV)18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
A Christian is not possessed by the devil completely, but the mind can be oppressed.
How do you know this? Your spirit tells you the area where the mind is in bondage.
It requires a greater power and extra yieldedness in Christ to gain freedom.
That is why the scripture says 1 Thess 5:23(KJV)23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These are the center of demonic activities.
No aspect of you should be in bondage by the devil.
Where there is bondage Jesus Christ has always used the force of the Holy Ghost.
Col 2:15(KJV) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Rev 1:18(KJV)18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Your bondage is not something you approach apologetically. It must be a forceful operation.
Ps 24:7-10(KJV)7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Song – I command you satan in the name of the Lord.
Every action of the gospel is geared towards loosing, and this is in the hand of the Holy Spirit, which does not use only one method but as the spirit wills. You can lay hands on the sick, you can speak the word to the sick, you can do as the spirit wills.
1 Cor 12:11(KJV)11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
