TOPIC: SPIRITUAL WARFARE AND THE YOKE.
Spiritual warfare is a revelation of the armour of the Lord.
2 Cor 10:2-6(TLB) I don’t want to carry out my present plans against some of you who seem to think my deeds and words are merely those of an ordinary man. 3 It is true that I am an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans and methods to win my battles. 4 I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. 5 These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. 6 I will use these weapons against every rebel who remains after I have first used them on you yourselves and you surrender to Christ.
As long as we live in this world, we exist between two realms: the natural and the supernatural, or the spiritual and the physical.”
What does the Bible say about the spiritual warfare?
God has provided us with spiritual weapons to fight against spiritual enemies.
This is the most important battle we will face – it’s not physical or mental.
If you don’t engage with demons, they will engage with you .
Eph 6:10-19(TLB)10 Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. 12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies-the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. 13 So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. 14 But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s approval. 15 Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. 16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17 And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit-which is the Word of God. 18 Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.
For the quick destruction of the yoke, you must understand what it means to submit yourself to God.
What does it mean to submit to God in order to resist the devil ?
James 4:7(KJV)7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Acts 1:8(KJV)8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Submit yourself to God first, receive Christ , and after you receive Him, you will receive power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit .
1 Cor 12:8-10(KJV)8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Eph 6:10(KJV)10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
All knowledge of physical warfare comes from an understanding of spiritual warfare.
The spiritual warfare that destroys the yoke remains in your fortress.
Ps 91:1-16 (KJV)He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Spiritual warfare is powerfully articulated.
Luke 10:18-19(KJV) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. You are engaged in this warfare.
Use the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the Word of God, and faith.
Phil 2:10(KJV)10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Rev 12:11(KJV)11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Mark 16:17-18(KJV)17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;18 .They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
1 John 5:4-5(KJV)4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Isa 54:17(KJV)17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
You are now advancing in the warfare – Deut 28:7(KJV)7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Ps 84:11-12(KJV)11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
In this spiritual battle, a soldier does not entangle himself with civilian pursuits.
2 Tim 2:4-5(NKJ)V4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
