FAITH IN THE IAMS’ OF JESUS: SUNDAY OUTLINE   (BRO. EMMA OKORIE)  25TH AUGUST, 2024

TOPIC:  FAITH  IN THE  I AMS’  OF  JESUS

The phrase “I am” reflects Exodus 3:14, where God introduces Himself to Moses with the expression “I am who I am.” This statement became a profound way for people to connect with God personally and was used throughout Israel’s history to convey that God always was, always is and always will be.

Ex 3:13-14(KJV)13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

It is an absolute and divine close-end statement, one that no one else can claim.

These descriptive “I Am” statements  reveal the character and nature of God through significant phrases that  begin with “I Am.”

When you hear them, your revelation and faith in God are expected to rise.

Jesus was especially self-revealing in His “I Am” statements.

By using this expression, Jesus  explicitly identifies Himself as God, embodying God’s presence on Earth.

I am the resurrection, and the lifeJohn 11:24-25(KJV)Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Are you faced with any death situation , sickness, or disease of any kind right now?  If you  come in contact with I am the resurrection , I am the life   miracle will take place because Jesus wants to reinstate the resurrection, not only at the end of life on earth.

The moment this revelation flashes in your Spirit, every dead organ or issue in your life comes alive and does not die.

I am the bread of life.

John 6:32-35(KJV)32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

V48-51(KJV)48 I am that bread of life.49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

This is the healing revelation Jesus gave to me.

Jesus is the bread of life anyone who  eats this bread will live forever.

This is the secret God has given  you for your life: eat  the bread and drink the blood, and whatever sickness in your body will be healed today.

V52-58 -52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever

I am the light of the world  – John 8:12(KJV)12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life

John 9:5(KJV)5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Are you confused, looking for direction, seeking  wisdom and knowledge?  And unsure of what to do?

It is a revelation that darkness cannot comprehend light .

John 1:4-9(NKJV)4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

I am the door.

Are you searching  for a door – a door to the Kingdom of God, a door to riches, He said ‘I am the door’

Everything you need for life is in Jesus.

John 10:7-14(KJV)7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I am the good shepherdV11- 14 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Jesus is the shepherd of Pslam 23.

We have many things demanding  our attention, but Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

I am the wayJohn 14:3-7(KJV)3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

John 8:24(KJV)24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Jesus states in John 8:55-58(KJV)55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

I am the true VineJohn 15:1-7(KJV)15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

I am the Alpha  and Omega, the beginning and the end, He created everything, and He Himself was not created  – Rev 22:13 (KJV)13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

If you  have a total revelation of Jesus, whatever you need,  you will have.

All miracles emanates from here.

After considering these incredible truths about who God is, we are left with the difficult question that Jesus asked His disciples in  Mark 8:29(KJV)29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Do you Know God? Do you know Him on personal level?

Heb 11:6b (kJV)for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Our world is full of  many people who know just enough about God, who know what to say and sing, who do just enough good to feel better about themselves, who have memorized out-of-context verses to convince themselves they are fine.  But their eyes do not truly see Jesus, their ears do not truly hear His voice, and their lives  are not truly in relationship with Him.
